Wisteria Twins #2 (PDX Stairs)

There are over 140 staircases in the Portland area designed to provided faster pedestrian travel between neighborhoods, to shopping and restaurants, and simply just traversing the hilly terrain.

While not identical, we’re calling this a twin because there are two sets of Portland stairs that are incredibly close together that both traverse between Alameda Street and Wisteria. This is the second of the twins. While you can easily find this door without climbing any of the stairs (it’s at the bottom) we highly recommend making your way to see the miniature purple lookout tower that’s about halfway up.

Know Before You Go

  • Street parking is available on both side of these stairs, but it’s easier to park on the Alameda Street side.
  • The door is located at the bottom of the stairway
